McDonald Observatory

Well Jackie and I and a couple of her students are down for the week at McDonald Observatory in Fort Davis, Texas. Jackie is continuing on her research in the field of Dwarf Irregular Galaxies.
Anyway...the weather has been great for the most part. Here are a few pictures so far.

Here is the telescope we have been observing on. The Otto Struve 2.1 meter telescope.

This shot was taken from the catwalk of the 2.1 meter. The telescope seen is the 2.7 meter Harlan J. Smith.

Another shot of the 2.1 meter opened up.

Sunset Monday night just in front of the 2.1 meter.
